I have been living in Alaska for a little over 2 years now, however I am originally from the lower 48. I have grown up moving all over the world. I started coming up to Alaska seasonally for a few years until I finally decided to jump in and move here full time (which seems to be a common phenomenon). I have been a photographer for 10 years now and have only recently truly begun scratching the surface of my deep love for sharing my art with the world. The power of Alaska's raw beauty is unmatched, and ultimately what drew me in. Capturing the essence of our state's radical scenery and magical moments with my camera is truly what fuels my passion for photography. My photography style is unique in the sense that I feel the eye I have for photos is different from many. I look to stratify my photos by fitting as many layers in my frame as possible. 

The Name Mayrose Photography comes from my two dogs middle names. My two pups Kinley May & Onyx Rose are typically right by my side when I am traveling and taking photos. Bringing the gals along with me on my adventures is truly my favorite part of each day.
